Financial Aid

Thinking you might need help affording education at Grace Cascade Christian Schools? We understand! It’s true that Christian private education requires commitment and financial dedication from parents, school staff, and donors. Our hope is that parents can choose the school that is the best fit for their children without finances being the deciding factor. To that end, we pursue the following commitments for making education at GCCS as accessible as possible:

1. We ask faculty and staff to share the burden by accepting salaries significantly below local public schools. Our teachers and staff accept this challenge because they believe deeply in our mission.

2. We work to hold tuition to as reasonable a level as possible: each year, tuition covers about 90% of our actual operating need; contributions from donors supplies the remainder.

3. We ask friends for help. Donors contribute about 10% of the overall operating costs of our school, 100% of financial aid dollars, and 100% of capital and facility improvement projects.

4. From the generosity of our donors, we provide financial aid for families who need help to make a GCCS education possible for their children.

Our request is that no one would turn away from the possibility of a GCCS education without at least investigating our financial aid program. If you are interested in having your students enrolled at our Grace Elementary or Cascade Middle and High School campuses, but aren’t sure you can afford the tuition, we encourage you to click the button below for the financial aid application. You will be taken to another website that will confirm you are applying for Financial Aid through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment (FGAA), a need-based financial aid analysis service. FGAA is a well-established company, recognized and endorsed by the Association for Christian Schools International (ACSI), serving nearly 5,000 private and faith-based schools nationwide. All information is kept confidential. FGAA shares their assistance recommendations with Grace Cascade’s Tuition Committee, which determines final awards and notifies applicants.

You will need the following information to complete an application:

1. A completed tax return for the most recent year. if you you are unable to provide a completed tax return, you can still fill out the application, but you will need to add a note explaining your tax situation and when you expect to file.

2. Expense information for such things as rent, mortgage, car payments, medical bills, etc.

3. A credit card for the application fee.

A couple of other general things to know:

· School staff can only determine whether you qualify for assistance based on a completed application, so getting that done is the necessary first step.

· Financial Aid awards are valid for the school year for which they are awarded. A new financial aid application is required for each school year.

· Financial Aid funds are awarded based on assessed need and are made available through generous donations from friends of Grace Cascade Christian Schools. The school receives no federal or state grant money to subsidize our Financial Aid program.
