The Class of 2015 held their Baccalaureate Service on Thursday, May 28, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Medford. Speeches and testimonies were delivered, academic and co-curricular accomplishments were acknowledged, and a sense of the “end is very near” was in the air.
The Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2015 was held in the Cascade Christian High School Pavilion on Saturday, May 30. The rich royal purple curtains behind the stage reminded those in attendance of the majestic and rich heritage we enjoy as children of the Lord. We watched seniors who have worked long and hard walk across the stage to become graduates – graduates who are prepared to take that next step in their life’s journey.
Of the 66 graduates who walked across the stage, 93 percent of them will be walking through the doors of a new institution this coming fall to continue on in higher education. Three percent will be serving our wonderful Country by joining the Armed Forces. Two percent will be transitioning into the workforce and another two percent will take a little time to wait for direction on what their next step will be. Wherever the Lord leads them, we know they will all do well as they continue to trust in Him. Join us as we pray for the Class of 2015 graduates and wish them the richest blessings in the Lord!
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
I Peter 1:13
We look forward to their visits from time-to-time at Homecoming, Christmas programs, sporting events and other activities throughout the coming years, so we know that this is not “good-bye” but “see you later”.
