On Tuesday, January 26, the Grace Christian 8th grade students who had attended the U.S. Heritage Tour in November presented their scrapbooks to teachers, parents, and their peers.
While on the U.S. Heritage Tour, students took pictures and collected brochures and literature to document all the places they visited as they learned about our country’s history. They were then given almost two month’s time to put together a scrapbook that, not only documented their travels, but allowed them to journal about what they learned and what it meant to them.
During the U.S. Heritage Tour scrapbook party on Tuesday, nine of the 8th graders gave an account of the trip – with each student covering one consecutive day. A few chaperones shared their memories as well. Not only is this a fun time for those who attended to reflect on the trip, it creates a special time for those students who were not able to attend.
