Meet Megan

Megan Kim, junior, and the daughter of Andrew and Carol Kim, will be representing Cascade Christian High School at the OSAA State Solo Championships in flute on Saturday, April 30, at Pacific College in Forest Grove. She will be performing the First Movement of Mozart’s Concerto in G Major for Flute and Orchestra.

Earlier this spring, Megan earned First Alternate in the District 8 competition for flute solo, and in February was awarded first place in flute solo at the ACSI Instrumental Festival in Tacoma, Washington.

The solo competition at the state level is quite competitive. Megan is looking forward to the experience and values prayer support during the time of her performance, 11:10 AM on April 30, to calm her nerves and so that she may play well, giving God the glory for the talents he has given her.

When not perfecting her flute playing, Megan is busy with a rigorous academic schedule, maintaining a 4.0 GPA,  as well as participating in dance and voice lessons, theater, and student government. She also recently started a literary journal at Cascade Christian high School, titled, “Spark”.
