Landon Moir, junior, will represent Cascade Christian High School at the State Poetry Out Loud competition to be held in Salem, Oregon, on Saturday, March 10. He recited three poems at the regional poetry recitation contest on March 3rd to earn the right to advance to the next level, along with two other students from the Southern Oregon region. Poems recited were: “The River of Bees” by W.S. Merwin, “The Bookshelf of the God of Infinite Space” by Jeffery Skinner, and “Constancy to an Ideal Object” by Samuel Taylor Colebridge.

Landon hopes to follow in the footsteps of Megan Kim (Class of 2017) and Jillian Frakes (Class of  2012) who both advanced to the National POL contest in Washington DC. The winner of the National content receives a $20,000 scholarship.

Please join us in praying for Landon and his family as they travel up north.
