Grace Cascade Christian Schools is filled with many traditions that help foster that feeling of “we all belong to a family.”

One of the long-standing traditions is our Sing Around the Christmas Tree chapel on the Grace Christian Elementary campus. Students dress in fun Christmas-y clothes and sing traditional Christmas carols (including the infamous “Twelve Days of Christmas”, featuring Miss Swope’s many, many stuffed cows which are tossed into the air during the “eight maids-a-milking”).

At the end of chapel, those students who have attended Grace Christian from early ed to 8th grade are invited onto the stage with the current early ed students to sing “Away in the Manger” together. Since our 8th graders are now attending classes at the Cascade Christian campus, we made sure that those who attended Grace Christian throughout all their elementary years were able to attend this special chapel so that they had their moment on the stage! (See picture above!)

A new tradition that Mrs. Rickabaugh, Head of Schools, added a few years ago, is to read a special storybook to the students.

If you have never attended a Sing Around the Christmas Tree chapel, we hope you can join us next year. It is always the last Friday before Christmas break!
