Michael Croy

Grace Christian had a great turnout for football this year, with thirty-five guys  made up of fourteen 8th graders, eighteen 7th graders,  and three 6th graders. They had a very tough schedule, playing three 4A and 5A eighth grade varsity teams and two 6A JV  eighth grade teams. The boys played hard and competed in all their games. This year we had some outstanding plays from so many, but most importantly the guys learned that, win or lose, sports is a tool that God uses to strengthen our faith and make us more like Him.

Middle School football gives out just one award, the 1 John 2:6 Award, for outstanding Christ-like character. This year the award was given to Michael Croy who showed his faith both at practice and in the games we played.

In summary it’s been a very good year and I’m looking forward to next season already.

Coach Mayben,

“Whoever claims to live in him
must live as Jesus did.”
