Middle school students have been exploring careers during their Junior Achievement* class. Two students have experienced an interest in technology and video game design. So, in comes Tanner Northup (10) and Timothy Monroe (10), high school students at Cascade Christian, who have a little bit of experience in these areas. They put together a presentation for the class and showed them how they can get started – even now at their age!

Both Tanner and Timothy have learned a lot about technology on their own. Tanner also took a course in Video Production and Timothy took Music & Sound Technology at Cascade Christian High during their freshman year. Students like Tanner and Timothy also gain experience by being on the “Tech Squad” where they assist Mr. Croy with Cascade Christian’s Chromebook program. Tanner has become known among teachers and staff as the “go to” student when they need help troubleshooting their computer or projector.

Opportunities, such as this, for high school students to share with middle school students is one of the many advantages of having both schools on the same campus. We are very blessed to have these talented students at our school.

*Junior Achievement’s Purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
