We are pleased to announce that seven Cascade Christian High School seniors signed Letters of Intent today to continue their athletic or extracurricular involvement at the collegiate level.
Alec Furst will play football for Pacific University and plans to study Pre-Med. Alec was part of a dynamic Challenger team who won the OSAA 3A State Football Title in 2013.
The Cascade boys’ golf team is making a statement this year and is expected to finish strong at the high school level. The following two Cascade senior golfers will go on to play at the collegiate level: Jake Quast for Dominican University of California, pursuing a Business/ Marketing degree and Michael Clark for Corban University in Salem, Oregon, studying Pre-Med.
Tim McPherson, who was recently awarded a Pear Blossom Run Scholarship, will be attending Oregon Institute of Technology to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering while running for the Hooties in cross country and track.
Two female athletes signed today. Molli Campos will be playing softball for Northwest Christian University and will be studying Psychology. Cheyanne Auchard will participate in track and field as a thrower for Western Oregon University while pursuing a degree in Exercise Science.
For the first time this year, Cascade has a senior who is receiving a scholarship to participate in a Livestock Judging Program. Will Boyd will attend Conners State College and will pursue a degree in Environmental Science. Will has been involved in the 4-H program in Jackson County for the past seven years. Will has competed locally in 4-H as well as other shows in Oregon, California and Arizona. His involvement in the 4-H program has provided Will with an excellent foundation and the essential tools for his success and to pursue his passion in the livestock industry. With the knowledge gained, Will himself has become a small producer with his own herd and has enjoyed opportunities for employment and cultivating important relationships for the future
