In April, Emily Stephens and Ian Fralich were honored at a luncheon as Cascade Christian High School’s Rotary Students of the Year. Please join us in congratulating these students for their dedication to their schoolwork and to their faith.
Emily is the daughter of Robert and Kimberly Stephens. She has a cumulative 4.0 GPA and a challenging schedule. Emily has received the Cascade Academic Excellence Award in Spanish 1 & 2, Honors Geometry, Honors 10 and Bible. She was also a recipient of the ACSI Distinguished Christian High School Student award for outstanding achievement in Athletics.
Emily is a leader in her classes and on the basketball team. She has received 1st Team, All-State and MVP awards in Varsity Soccer, and Team Captain, leadership awards and 1st Team in Varsity Basketball. Emily has also achieved awards in Track and Field for 3A 400 meter, runner-up for the high jump, 4×100 meter relay State Champ relay team with a state record, 4×400 meter relay state championship relay team, and four school records for the high jump, 400 meters, 4×100 meter relay and 4×400 meter relay.
In her spare time, Emily mentors younger students at church and is a member of the youth leadership team at Table Rock Fellowship. She also enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding, traveling, playing basketball and running.
Emily plans to attend a 4-year college and earn a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She would like to become a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse. She would also like to play college basketball and compete in college track and field.
Ian Fralich is the son of CB and Megan Fralich. He has an accumulative high school GPA of 4.0 and was the February 2018 CCHS Kiwanis Student of the Month. He has received Cascade Christian Academic Excellence Awards in Spanish 1 & 2, Bible Survey, Honors English 9, English 10, Honors Geometry, Algebra 2, Biology, World History, Kinesiology, and several elective classes.
Ian has participated on Cascade Christian’s varsity football and varsity tennis teams. In his spare time, he enjoys trail running, music, and flyfishing.
Ian was a member of the 2017 OSAA 3A State Championship football team and was named an All-League Football Player. He received the Challenger Player of the Year award and served as Team Captain. Ian has been involved in leadership as the Freshman and Sophomore Class President. His junior year, Ian received the CCHS Integrity Award. He has also summited Mt. Ashland and Mt. Shasta and participated in an ultramarathon.
After graduation, Ian plans to attend college to study Business and then join his dad in the insurance company.
