Summer Day Camp

For families needing care throughout the summer months, we offer our “Fun in the Sun” day camp, open Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Fun in the Sun is open to the community and you need not be an enrolled Grace Christian School student to apply. Click here to learn more.

Students needing extended care sessions are encouraged to sign up for our Extended Enrichment Program.  We offer morning and afternoon child care for preschool and pre-kindergarten students and an after-school program until 6:00 PM for students in kindergarten through grade 5.

Our Purpose

Our Extended Enrichment Program is designed to help enrich your child’s educational experience. We strive for a Christ-Centered program for families who need additional care beyond school. We work hard to ensure that their time is stimulating, exciting, beneficial and nurturing to each child. We not only provide exercise, a healthy snack, and homework time, but your child will feel welcome, safe and comfortable. We strive to make our activities developmentally appropriate and engaging.

Our Extended Enrichment Program is only available to students enrolled at Grace Christian School and you may sign up at any time during the current school year. If you have any questions about extended care, please call our office at (541) 858-7260 or email [email protected]. Registration forms are located below.

“We would like to take a moment and share how beneficial the Extended Enrichment is for our family. With both of us working full time we need care outside of normal school hours. The EE program gives us comfort in knowing that our son is cared for while giving him additional opportunities to further his education. Our son enjoys his time in the program. We feel blessed to have this program as an option for our child and would highly recommend it.”

– Nate and DeAnna Stickler (Parents to an EE and After-school Care student)

Our Extended Care Programs

Grace Christian Elementary School offers a full-day option for enrolled preschool and pre-kindergarten students through the addition of Learning Connections.

Early morning drop off and after-school care is also available to our full-day kindergarten students.

Learning Connections includes:

  • An extended enrichment curriculum that includes educational materials that build on what your child is learning in class
  • Hands-on activities
  • Arts and crafts
  • Outdoor activities
  • Lunch Bunch and rest time
  • Games, reading, music, and much more

Our Pre-S/Pre-K Learning Connections program is wonderful for families who are interested in a full-day option for their child. We also offer the flexibility of choosing however many sessions (or days) per week that you need care:

  • Learning Connections morning session from 8:10 AM – 11:10 AM (as needed)
  • Learning Connections afternoon session from 12:00 PM – 2:45 PM

“(After-School Care) is a wonderful place where I know my daughter will be well taken care of and learn things I know are good and not only make Angelica happy but the whole family! Bringing the blessing home with creative Godly things they do there! My daughter is always happy to know she is attending… and we leave with a satisfying peace of mind! We love Grace and all it has to offer! It’s a great investment for our family’s future” – Janet Arce (Parent of student who attends After-School Care)

The children bring their own lunches and eat with us during Lunch Bunch time. Our curriculum is a direct extension of the skills they are learning in their other classes. We provide snack, rest time, art projects, science, play time, engaging and fun activities. Learning Connections provides numerous hands-on, student-led projects.

If your student needs care beyond the afternoon Learning Connections session, they may continue their educational experience in our  After-school Care program which is open until 6:00 PM.

We also provide additional care on most minimum early release and full-day teacher inservice days for children who are enrolled in Learning Connections and After-School Care programs. Students who are not enrolled in the After-School Care program, but need care on non-school days when we are open, may inquire in the school office about signing up.

The After School Care program includes:

  • Healthy Snack
  • Outdoor activities
  • Homework Time
  • Art Projects
  • Cooking
  • Free time activities such as reading, puzzles and games

“I love the convenience of the (After School Care) program. My son can be in a safe, familiar atmosphere and know he is happy. Homework is usually done by the time I pick him up which allows more family time in the evenings.”- Jill Hidy (Parent of student in  the After-School Care program)
