Each student will participate in a Bible study and will memorize a weekly Bible verse. We feel this is important to begin at an early age as it is written,

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”, Psalm 119:105 (NLT).

Early on Grace students learn the importance of listening to God and obeying Him.

Early learning academics are comprised of an age-appropriate, Bible-based curriculum that focuses on such things as fine motor skills, social skills, and listening and following instruction.

In addition to core subjects, Early Learning students participate in supervised recess and a Physical Education program that has been designed by an Oregon Licensed Physical Education Instructor.

Early education students are introduced to the Fine Arts by attending music education class, performing in Christmas and Spring musical programs, and creating several classroom art projects.

The purpose of art instruction at Grace Christian School is to encourage the student in developing creativity, design, and love of the fine arts. Regular instruction in art is provided for all of our students. It is our prayer that our art can be an effective outreach to others and display our love for God.
Vocal Music: Begins in preschool and continues through all grade levels. Students are not only taught songs, but how to sing. Christmas and spring programs are presented by our students.
Students have regular instruction in P.E. beginning in pre-kindergarten. Utilizing age-appropriate curriculum, students are instructed on the importance of taking care of their bodies.
Some Spanish terms are introduced during the preschool and pre-kindergarten years, with more instruction added in Kindergarten. Spanish is offered at all levels up to 12 grade AP Spanish.
At Grace Christian School, we feel it is important to expose students to experiences outside the classroom, as often a “real world” classroom environment can spark a desire to learn, which in turn is reinforced through classroom curriculum. We accomplish this by taking students on field trips to places such as:

  • October visit to a pumpkin patch
  • Trip to the farm
  • Visit to a fire station

  • Learn colors in English
  • Learn colors in Spanish

  • Butterflies and Frog units in the fall
  • Bird unit in the winter
  • “All About Me” unit in the spring
