I wanted to take a moment and thank the staff of the Extended Enrichment program at Grace Christian School.  It has been an amazing year for all of my children, and EE has played a big part in that.  Because this was our first year here, I wasn’t sure what to expect.  I knew the classroom curriculum was of the highest standard, but I now know the EE curriculum is just as exceptional.

EE is so much more than an after school program.  I have watched my two boys grow in so many areas as a result of the activities and lessons they learned in EE.  I was amazed at the artwork they would bring home, the songs they would sing and the lessons they had worked on, all in EE.   They even planted their own little seeds and watched them germinate after a lesson on plants.  It was wonderful to see their excited faces as they handed me their little sprout in its cup!

Not only does the EE program provide an amazing academic supplement, it also provides the children a nurturing environment that is Christ-centered and full of love.   Mrs. Kolp and her staff are wonderful and they always greet my family with warm smiles and words of encouragement.    I really appreciate the fact that there is continual communication between the EE staff and the parents so I always feel informed.  I also know I can contact anyone from EE (via email or phone), should I have questions or concerns, and I will get a quick response.  That is important to me.

I am very sad I only have one more year to be blessed by the EE program.  I know it made the transition to GCS so much easier for my boys.  Thank you, Mrs. Kolp and all the EE staff; from the bottom of my heart for all that you did this year and the difference you made in both my boys’ lives.

We have two children that have participated in Extended Enrichment at Grace Christian School.  They both clearly cherish and enjoy the time they have been able to spend there.  In addition to being a fun place to be, Extended Enrichment has been an opportunity for further growth outside of the regular classroom.  The name of the program is wholly appropriate, as it truly has been an enriching extension of the educational experience. 

We have been very pleased with the fact that the program isn’t just there as a “filler” activity for students.  Time is spent working on clear goals and expectations that are required by the high academic standards that Grace Christian School has for all of its students.  Occasionally, I would pick them up early, and I was able to get a “fly on the wall” perspective of the activities.  I was constantly blown away by the staff dedication, eagerness, and preparedness for each day- through storytelling, quizzing the kids on sight words, letter sounds, etc.  I also saw firsthand EE teachers in constant communication with my kids teachers in which there was always a clear line of direct communication, with clear expectations. 

My pre-K and Kindergartener have benefited from extra help with sight words, letter sounds, practicing their bible verses all  with their peers- not to mention having HANDS-ON experiences, such as getting the opportunity to watch the development of tadpoles into frogs.  Throughout this school year they polished their social skills, such as practicing taking turns and cooperating with one another.  There are many, many more learning opportunities that were squeezed into the few hours our children were in Extended Enrichment, and I could go on.  But let me just say that I am proud to call this campus their school and this staff their teachers!

We feel so extremely blessed to have the Extended Enrichment program at Grace Christian School!  It is the only way we feel comfortable going to work each day.  Not only do we feel that our girls are in a safe, caring, loving environment, but they absolutely love it.  They love their teachers, their friends and all the fun activities they do.  This program is definitely a reflection of God’s love for His children.  Thank you for keeping our girls happy and feeling loved.
