Grace Christian Schools
Extended Enrichment Program

· During and after-school care for GCS Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students.

 This care includes:

$   An extended enrichment curriculum that includes educational materials that build on what your child is learning in class

$ Hands-on Activities, such as Science Labs and Arts & Crafts

$ Outdoor Activities

$ Lunch and Rest Time

$ Games, Reading, Music and much more.

                Our Pre-K/K classes are wonderful for families who are interested in full-day school. We also offer the
            flexibility of choosing however many sessions (or days) per week that you need care:

                        Ø  Morning session (A) from 7:30 am-12:00 p.m

                        Ø  Afternoon session (B) from 11:10 am – 2:45 pm (dismissal)

The children bring their own lunches and eat it with us. Our curriculum is a direct extension of the skills they are learning in their other classes. We provide snack, rest time, art projects, science, play time, engaging and fun activities. This class is an enrichment class, so we do a lot of hands-on, student lead projects.

 · After-school care for GCS 1st through 5th grade students.

The “After School” program  includes:

$ Homework Time

$ Outdoor activities

$ Art Projects

$Snack

$ Cooking

$ Free time activities such as art projects, reading, puzzles and games

After-School Care runs from Dismissal (2:35 pm- 2:55 pm) until 6:00 pm

Our After-School Program is for Pre-K through 5th grade. We pick them up after school is dismissed and take them down to Larson Hall. We provide a snack, recess, homework time, art projects, cooking, games, puzzles and other fun activities. We also provide additional care on most minimum days for children who are enrolled in Extended Enrichment. You may come one to five days per week!

Our Purpose:

 The GCS Extended Enrichment(EE) program is designed to help enrich your child’s educational experience. We strive for a Christ-Centered child care program for families who need additional care beyond school. We work hard to ensure that their time in Extended Enrichment is stimulating, exciting, beneficial and nurturing to each child. We not only provide exercise, a healthy snack, and homework time, but your child will feel welcome, safe and comfortable. We strive to make our activities developmentally appropriate and engaging.

You may pick up forms and more detailed information in the GCS Office . This program is ONLY available to students enrolled at GCS and you can sign up at any time during the current school year. You can reserve a space for your child in this program for the next school year (2008/2009) after you have paid your school registration for the 2008/2009 school year.  If you have any questions, please call our Extended Enrichment Coordinator, Autumn Boekenoogen at 858-7260 or email her at aboekenoogen@gracechristian.org.

Don't just take our word for it, here's what our parents are saying:

 Parent Testimonials:

 "Thanks so much for your support and flexibility with my children in E.E.  I really appreciate this service as we have no family here to lean on, and to us, Grace really fills that void.  My children love it, and the staff is all great!"

This GCS Extended Enrichment after-school program has been such a blessing to have available to us. As a concerned parent, it is so refreshing to know that my child is well taken care of, feels secure, truly enjoys the environment and is given a healthy snack! Upon entering the facility on a daily basis, it is evident that every single child is completely content! In fact, sometimes they don’t want to leave and go home! It is definitely a well-rounded program, representing Christ’s love. Thank you!

Extended Enrichment has been a real blessing for our boys. (Grades 2nd and 4th) They look forward to going to EE after school and hanging out with their friends.  As parents it is great knowing the kids are in a safe, fun and loving environment after school.  They come home with their homework done, they have had a snack, and got to play as well (they even do craft projects)!  We are very grateful to Grace for instituting this program and to Autumn and her awesome team.
